Pre-filtration of the ballast water treatment system

Modern ballast water treatment systems require good pre-filtration to meet the strict discharge requirements. The aquaBoll® BWT was developed for these requirements of fine filtration to 20 µm with simultaneous large flow rates of up to 3000 m3/h seawater.

The compact series is matched to the system performance and pump capacities of the treatment systems on board. A large screening area and a new type of backwash arrangement allow safe operation with a wide range of water qualities and high dirt loads. 

Cost savings through a fully automatic filter

Due to automatic backflushing, perfect regeneration of the filter mesh is ensured. The filter, operating fully automatic, conforms to the regulations of unsupervised operation on ships. A continuous series with different sizes of housing and nominal connection widths, permit adapted dimensioning of the ballast water filter to individual circumstances.
